Moving to Wash Park Neighborhood Denver Colorado | Luxury Real Estate Denver

Imagine a fun-filled day in nature, packed with paddle boating and biking. Lunch is a lake-side picnic with a gorgeous mountain view. Then it’s off to beautiful gardens (talk about stopping to smell the roses!).

Your evening ends with a slow walk along local boutiques until you find just the right eatery to feed your cravings.

While this may sound like a wonderful day in Loveland or Evergreen, it’s not.

Surprisingly all this can be found only a few miles south of downtown Denver around the Washington Park neighborhood.

The Washington Park Neighborhood Community

Wash Park, as locals lovingly call it, is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Denver

The stunning architecture along these leafy streets ranges from historic brick bungalows and restored Tudor rivals to modern high-rise apartments and condo complexes. It definitely has the urban residential feel.

The sprawling sidewalks make this neighborhood a hit with families because it’s so easy for kids to safely get around.

And the ample street parking means entertaining guests is a breeze (a desirable trait if you aren’t accustomed to the parking difficulties of downtown Denver).

Wash Park is within walking distance of the second oldest shopping district in Denver, S. Gaylord Street. So all the local boutiques, delicious fine dining, and exciting events are conveniently located a few blocks from your front door.

But what makes this neighborhood special is…

…its proximity to Washington Park, Denver’s equivalent of NYC’s Central Park.

The park is always a buzz with people walking, jogging, biking, and people playing with their dogs.

And it has not one but TWO lakes, perfect for a tranquil picnic by the water’s edge where you can enjoy stunning mountain views. Or rent a paddle boat!

In the spring, you won’t want to miss out on the beautifully curated, vibrant flower gardens.

The north garden is the place to be during sunset because the shallow lake reflects the vibrant, colorful sky. It’s a symphony of colors and scents for a breathtaking unique experience.

The south garden will delight history buffs because it’s a replica of George & Martha Washington’s Mount Vernon gardens.

Washington Park’s Real Estate

When you invest in Washington Park real estate, you’re getting a gorgeous home in a friendly neighborhood. And you’re down the street from natural escapes, exciting events, and all the food and shopping your heart desires.

The most sought-after single-family homes are in the East Wash Park neighborhood because of their close proximity to Washington Park and the historic Gaylord shopping district.

These 4+ bedroom homes are a mix of stunning updated historic structures and luxurious custom new builds ranging from $2 million to $6 million.

Single-family homes further away from Washington Park and the Gaylord shopping district have a lower price point. They’ll range from $800k to $1.5 million.
